My creative space

Yesterday I was able to harvest the first of our broccoli from our vege garden! For some reason, one of the several broccoli plants decided to grow faster than the rest. This is a good thing, because it meant that I harvested just enough for our dinner :-)

It's so satisfying, eating something that you've grown yourself! It was very tasty, too ;-)

Looks delicious. And slightly fresher than the six (?!!) heads of broccoli I managed to order in my delivery pack for yesterday! So I need recipe inspiration...

Fabulous ~ spring has me thinking of vegies and gardening!
And Gina ~ broccoli soup. Onion, garlic, bacon, the broccoli and stock. Or whatever you fancy Puree. Add cream. Turns out quite yummy.

We haven't tried broccoli yet, but I think we must. We love broccoli. The vegie patch is a great creative space.

That is spectacular looking brocolli. I have tried growing it myself but had a major run in with snails and cabbage moth.

It looks so beautiful and it's a wonderful space.

The colour and texture of fresh broccoli is a gorgeous thing. You just can't get better than from your own vegie patch - you talented green thumb person, you!

It looks positively floral in that first photo. I actually didn't realize it was broccoli at first!

How can you compare such a piece of perfection with chemical laden store bought stuff?! You've motivated me to get spring into action and get on with replanting our veggie garden....
