My creative space

It is begun!
I've started working on the cardi pattern test that I signed up for in a less than lucid moment a few weeks ago. And I've (kind of) successfully negotiated the first 'huh?' instruction! So what if I made 11 when I was only supposed to make 10? I fixed it by purling 2 together on the next row. Possibly slightly dodgy but effective.

I'm also liking this knitting on circular needles business. It's very hard to lose a knitting needle when they're attached to each other!

My biggest worry so far is my colour choice. It's a little sleep inducing, so I hope I don't get so thoroughly bored with it that I never finish it!

Visit Kootoyoo for lots of interesting creating....

LOL, I love the dodgy! I would have done exactly the same thing!! Glad it was a success.

If it's any consolation I love the colour and really hope you do finish it.

Looks like a great start..I am jealous you even know how to fix a goof..I immediately give up and start over haha..Which is why I never finish anything knitting wise..

Oh but I LOVE the grey - it's fabulous!! I'm not a knitter so this is all on an aesthetic basis for me... I just love the look of knitting in the round like that. Great space :) K

It looks so professional! (Coming from me that is probably not a compliment as anything beyond a knot looks terribly professional to me!). I think it's funny that grey makes you tired! Next time, electric blue? (Hope that song gets stuck in your head and stops you from snoozing!)

Wow, you've made the band. Great work. I love the colour and your innovative stitch count solution. I thought of you and your owl brooch the other day when I found some stitch markers in a shop in Bendigo.

Grey is one of my favourite colours too... but I can see that it would be hard to stay awake for especially after a busy day.
Can you get brightly colours knitting needles perhaps to keep you awake? (I've no idea - can't knit I have NO co-ordination)

Good on for for getting on to it. And I have absolutely no idea how to knit, so you have impressed me with your purling lingo!

Well done - I have no knitting skills at all, so the fact that you can use circular needles is super cool!
